With the A1 Audi produced a small 4-seater. It features a combined combustion and electric engine with two driving modes: "efficiency" for maximum drive range per tank and "sport" for having fun.
The fuel economy of the A1 is 3.9 liters per 100 km, and it manages 0 to 100 in 7.9 seconds, topping out at 200km/h. Of course, with a car like this CO2 emission rate is important and the A1 appears to pass the strict EU4 restrictions with only 92 g/km.
This car being a frontwheel-drive version I expect to see a fourwheel-drive version in the shape of the S1, which will hopefully look a tad more like this 2009 concept car than its brother. All we need to do is wait until 2010.
